Drishti Standard Yoga Mat
Customer Review: Two Sides to All Yoga Mats; Know Which Side is Up
Yoga mats come in three basic thicknesses. At 1/8" this mat is of average thickness. At 24" x 68" it is also the standard width and length. Mats that are about half a thick as this one are good for travel or placing under a thicker mat to provide more traction. The thick mats (3/16") are about 50% thicker than this one and are designed for those who need or want extra cushion. There are two sides to this and nearly all yoga mats. Look carefully at the 'bumps' on each side of the mat. The larger bumps are designed to face upwards to cushion your hands, feet, and knees during poses while keeping your body from dangerously slipping out of alignment. The smaller bumps are designed to face downwards to grip the floor and keep the yoga mat from sliding. Many mats have a label on one end with the name of the brand. This is typically, but not always, located on the 'up' side. The bumps will tell you for sure. This yoga mat will increase in softness and stickiness with use. (So do most mats.) They start out mildly sticky and increase in stickiness the more they are used. You will want to wash your mat when it first arrives so as to remove the thin film they get on their surface during the manufacturing process. Instructions for washing the mat are included. Once you've washed and dried your mat you're ready to begin! After using it for a while, if you find the mat decreasing in stickiness each time you pull it out, this is the typical sign that a light coating of dust or too much body sweat has accumulated on your mat and it needs a light hand washing with very diluted soap and water. After washing, roll your mat in a thick towel to squeeze out the excess water, otherwise it will take forever to dry in the air. Then, air dry your mat unrolled, inside, and away from sunlight. (Hanging over the shower bar works nicely.) When you first unroll your mat you will find one end to be a bit curled. Simply alternate the direction you roll your mat (top outside once, then bottom outside next) or the end you start from (curled end once, flat end next time) and you'll find it straightening out more or less over time. I recommend buying your own yoga mat even if your yoga studio or gym provides them for you. I've worked in many studios and gyms over the years. Sometimes management has mats cleaned often, sometimes not. If you bring your own mat you always know where it's been. :o) Plus, owning your own mat may encourage you to begin valuable practice at home. For my students who have trouble with their knees in some of the poses requiring the body weight to rest on a knee, I recommend temporarily folding over one end of the mat to get double cushion under the knee while still leaving one layer under the rest of the body. This saves you having to haul more than one mat out each time you practice which can be discouraging especially to the beginner.

About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.
Customer Review: Solid machine
Solidly built but heavy. Reasonably comfortable, not too hard to assemble, though the instruction diagrams aren't the best. Seems like it will last a long time. Fairly quiet. Good choice for the larger person.
Customer Review: Comfortable and solid...
Bought this bike along with a treadmill (see other reviews)...Wanted a bike that I could use to go along with my treadmill workouts. I bought this mostly becasue of the warranty and user weight. I was not looking for bells and whistles so this fit the bill. I do not use this as much ast the treadmill. It has very comfortable seat and is quiet.
Power Tower
Customer Review: Excellent addition to Home Gym
I live in a condo where none of the doorways have enough room on both sides to use one of those doorway pull-up bars, but I've always wanted to find something since pull-ups are such an excellent upper body exercise. I first found this product in Skymall magazine for roughly the same price including shipping that it was listed by this seller. I was somewhat worried about how much space it would take up and how sturdy it would be but I found it relatively easy to put together and very soundly built. My only suggestion is that I would avoid putting it on a carpeted surface if possible. I have a cheap foam mat on top of my carpet and the tower sits on top of the mat. It seems to be stable enough on that but I would recommend a hard flat surface if possible. When it was on just carpet that was relatively plush it did have a bit of a wobble but at no time doing either pull-ups or dips did it begin to tip over.
Customer Review: Great addition to your home gymj
This Weider 200 Power Tower is a terrific piece for your home gym at a great deal. I've owned it for over two weeks and have been extremely pleased. It's a very sturdy piece of equipment and was easy to construct. It took me less than an hour to put it together with my son. The only tools you'll need are two adjustable wrenches and a phillips head screwdriver. The instructions are well written and simple to follow. This is what I like about this pull-up tower: 1.Sturdiness: I weigh about 200lbs and there is very little bouncing or shaking when I do pull-ups, dips, or leg raises. It's designed with two long stabilization skids that help to prevent shaking. Of course there will always be some bouncing / shaking with these towers, unless you buy a commercial pull-up tower (usually starting at over $500) or bolt yours to the floor. I keep mine in my garage, not bolted to the floor, and it shakes only very slightly. I've tried kipping pull-ups as well with no issues. 2.Dimensions: At 85 inches tall this item will fit in any room with 8 foot ceiling, which is fairly standard in most houses. This gives you plenty of clearance for your head in a room with 8' or higher ceiling. 3.Overall design: The pull-up bar has decent padding that won't quickly wear down. The push-up bars are placed far enough from the lower cross bar to give you plenty head clearance. The pull-up bar is on the opposite side from the dips / leg raise side, giving you plenty of room to do your pull-ups, especially if you do kipping pull-ups, knees to elbows, or angles to the bar. I've tried all of these exercises on this machine with no problems. I've also hung gymnastics rings from the pull-up bar to do suspended pushups. At about $180 including shipping, I think the Weider 200 Power Tower is a good deal for a really nice addition to your home gym.

Customer Review: Way too small
When I purchased two of these (pale green and black) there was no review. As the other reviewer mentioned, these bags are way too small. My regular size yoga mat doesn't fit on the side of this bag. My green bag started tear apart on the side less than a month of very lightly used so I don't think these are quality bags. They look nice and that's all. They don't feel soft (rather rough) so unless you are wearing t-shirts, the shoulder straps and straps at the lower back will rip off the clothings. I also don't like the handle, which is very uncomfortable for the back of the neck (at least for me in the summer in DC). I paid ~$19 each of these bags but I am willing to pay more for quality backpacks, such as SwissGear by Wenger and amazon often offer with good price.
Customer Review: Good but a bit too small
This pack is of excellent quality. From looking at it far away you can tell this is a quality pack. It really does shine from a distance. And upon closer inspection, you will appreciate everything is stitched perfectly. The material is thick and padding on the back is also thick yet soft, making it very comfortable to wear. However, its a bit too small. You can't really pack a lot of things in there. Its smaller than the ususal backpack - it feels more like a kid's pack.

12' Parachute with 12 handles
GoFit GF-PMAT Pilates Mat (24" x 72" x 1/2")
Customer Review: Is a GoFit Mat fit for a dog?
I was very happy with the quality of the mat. It is such tough material, yet comfortable, I have no excuses now for not exercising. I have been considering buying another one, cutting it in half and making 2 slip covers to use for my dog's bed(s). I think it would last longer than many beds made just for dogs. She would love that!
Customer Review: Great mat, worth the price
I've never done mat work before (bought this with "Pilates for Weight Loss" video), and this is perfect for me! I love it. It is a very comfortable thickness for the exercises I do on my back and while sitting. It is also very forgiving; I have knee problems, but this mat is thick enough that there is even enough cushion when I do the stretches on my knees -- no pain! When I was deciding which mat to buy, I thought that $35 was a little high (especially since I'm on a budget). I ultimately decided that the investment for a superior (and much thicker mat) was worth the extra money (and I also justified that it was cheaper than joining a gym!). I don't regret this purchase for a minute. Highly recommended! The ONLY downside is that it's a little bulky to store, but that's to be expected, given the thickness. We live in a small apartment in NYC, so it fits (folded in half) behind our loveseat very easily. Other than re-rolling and putting it back in the box every time (ugh), I'm not sure where else I could keep it!

If you are looking to design your own home gym, I think you will find this resource very helpful. Some outdated fitness information by the author, but overall, very informative.
Harbinger 133 FlexFit Wash & Dry Gloves (Black)
Customer Review: Workable
It's too soon to give these gloves 5 stars, since part of any evaluation of such a product must be its durability, and I've only had them for a couple of months. So far so good though. The gloves are important to me because they protect the rings I wear and because they give me a consistent grip on dumbbells. Can't beat them for the price.
Customer Review: Best glove I have ever owned.
I've been a weight lifter for many years and have gone through MANY gloves. These are by far the best I've owned. One reason I love them is that they are not intrusive at all. The softer leather and flex section make them a pleasure to wear. They also for some reason seem to grip the bar better then any other glove I've owned. They also have the right amount of gel in the palms, if there was any more it would be annoying, so the girly men just have to look elsewhere! They do wear a little faster than other gloves, but not thats to be expected with the softer leather and flex sections, but is worth it since they are so great to wear. I give these gloves a beating 4 times each week and still on the same pair I've had for over a year. Would definately recomend!
Drishti Yoga Bolster
Customer Review: Approved by a yoga teacher.
I'm a yoga teacher, and I love these bolsters. I ordered both the round and rectangular bolsters for my home practice. They are both exactly what I wanted - the perfect size, dimensions, and firmness. Excellent price, too. I would definitely recommend them.
